What is the difference between heterochromatin and euchromatin?

Heterochromatin is that part of the chromosomes which is tightly packed and is genetically inactive, whereas euchromatin is the part that of chromosomes which is uncoiled or loosely packed and is transcriptionally active.

(b) heterochromatin:------ In heterochromatin, the density of DNA is high and are stained dark, whereas in euchromatin the density of DNA is little and are lightly stained.
