Heterotrophic nutrition is known to be the mode of nutrition in which certain organisms are dependent on other organisms in order to survive.

Organisms that cannot prepare their own food and have to depend on other organisms are known as heterotrophs. Some examples of heterotrophs include animals, fungi etc.

hope it helps!!

Answer:

Explanation:

In heterotrophic mode of nutrition, an animal doesn't makes its own food, but takes in food prepared by other organisms (plants or animals). For e.g. - Humans take in food prepared by the plants and/or eat other animals (such as fish, meat, etc) so their mode of nutrition is called heterotrophic.

But heterotrophs are the organisms who take in food by the heterotrophic mode of nutrition. For e.g. - humans. Since humans are performing heterotrophic mode of nutrition they are called heterotrophs.

IN SIMPLE WORDS, HETEROTROPHIC MODE OF NUTRITION IS THE WORK/PROCESS AND HETROTROPHS ARE THE DOERS.
