Website means A location on the web server where an individual or a company or any organization uploads its information is known as website. Websites are collection of one or more web pages. The first open page in a website is a home page. The pages on a website are linked with each other and one access it by clicking on the links called hyperlinks.
Web browser - it is an application software that helps a user to navigate through different website on internet and display pages. When the user gives a query then the web browser give it to web server and web server make it available and display it.
Hope it will help you!!!!

Difference between the homepage of a browser and the homepage of a website:

There are differences in the definition, usage, authentication, links etc.

Browser is a software application for browsing web pages hosted on internet.  It is a client application software.  The homepage can be set (altered) in the settings of the browser by the user/client.  The homepage is the first page that is displayed when the browser software starts in a window or a tab.  Any web page can be set to the homepage. It can even be a blank page.  There is no authentication in the browser required by a user to access the home page.  But the server of the website which hosts that page may need authentication.

Web site is a software application for hosting web pages on the server computer. It is the name (or address) given to the web server. The web pages on the server are accessible through the web site.

The home page of the website is set in the server software. It is only set or altered by the administrator of the server. The homepage is the first page that is displayed when the web server is accessed without any path. The homepage must be a valid web page. It contains links to the other web pages placed in various directories on the server.

The access by a client to the homepage of a server may (or may not) need an authentication.
