Analogous structures have differentevolutionary ancestries but they have the same function. Examples of these types ofstructures are the wings of birds, bats and insects. Homologous structures are the opposite; they have similar ancestries and common traits but maybe not have the same function in an organism.

analogous are those organs which have different structures but have similar functions
example wings of an insect and a bird have different structures but similar functions (use to fly).
homologous are those organs which have similar structure but different functions
example forelimbs of man ,lizard,frog
have similar structure but
forelimbs of man are used for grasping
lizard use forelimbs for running on walls
forelimbs of frogs are used for jumping
