1.IAS is more preferred than any other service. You will be surprised to know that even less than 1% give IPS as their first choice.

2.The job of an IPS is not that good as it sounds. you will be the person who will see rape, murder, suicides and all the blood shed all the time and you will on job for all the 24 hours.

3.Political interference will be a lot more than in any other service.

4.Threat for yourself and to your family as well by some cheap Gundas and Bhai Logs.

5. IAS holds more power than IPS and IAS is also superior to IPS.

6. JOBS THAT INVOLVE GUN ARE NOT RESPECTED AS OTHER JOBS.

7. IPS undergoes physical stress throughout his/her carrier.

1.IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service

2.He represents Government of India at international level on certain occasion.

IPS--

1.IPS stands for Indian Police Service.

2. He leads the police force both at the State and Central level

But One can become ips or ias only by UPSC exam in which the higher ones are ias and lower ones are ips.
