what is the difference between impulse and stimulus.

there is a lot of difference between impulse and stimulus impulse is actually an electrical signal or an electrical reaction that runs along the surface of the nerve fibre and are specialised for the transmission of information for example you touch a hot object and the hotness is the stimulus but the warmth that will reach and the message that it is hot when given to the spinal cord is the impulse because stimulus is the change in the environment that causes a reaction in the organism you receive a stimulus and then when that stimulus is transmitted to your brain it is known as impulse
