Reflection and total internal reflection are physical properties of waves. Reflection occurs in all kind of waves like sound, water etc. but total internal reflection occurs only with light rays

internal reflection can simply means reflection which takes place inside the reflecting body like light reflect internally in the rain drops and disperse into 7 colors.
whereas total internal reflection means that the ray is incident on the interface with angle greater than the critical angle and wholly reflected back without any refraction like in that case of optical fibres.
