What is the difference between ionic bonds and covalent bonds?

covalent bonding is a form of bonding between two non metallic atoms which is characterized by the sharing of pairs of electrons between atoms and other covalent bond

IONIC COMPOUNDS,

they are formed from strong electrostatic interactions between ions, which results in higher melting points and electrical conductivity..


COVALENT COMPOUNDS,

They are the compounds have bonds where electrons are shared between atoms...
