What is the difference between landslide and soil erosion?

LANDSLIDES : It is the flow of mud/ rocks/ sand etc from a higher region (like a mountain) to the land below it .It may be slow/ fast ,dry/wet.

It mostly makes damage to everything at the land below the mountain.

EROSION : It is the movement of particles / grains of soil or rock by various causes like wind , water(tides) etc.

It erodes the top layer of fertile soil making the area unfertile and uncultivable land.

We can prevent both landslide and erosion by planting a lot of trees. avoinding deforestation.
