what is the difference between lcd and led displays?

Hi,

LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display. They are of two types the one with a Florescent backlighting and one with a LED backlighting . They have glass through which liquid display block/pass Light .

LED stand for Light Emitting Diode. They are subset of LCD . In this type of display LED backlighting is used instead of florescent backlighting .
