To be literate is to have the ability to read and write; many six year olds are literatebut relatively uneducated. I was literate by first grade. To be educated is to have an (presumably extensive) education, which usually requires literacy.

Hii dear..
A literate person is that one who can read and write in a particular language..
Educated one is that who is aware about his country and we can say have degrees and all...Who knows what can help his country in development and what not?....
Have a good night dear.
