The macula in humans has a diameter ofaround 5.5 mm (0.22 in) and is subdivided into the umbo, foveola, foveal avascular zone, fovea, parafovea, and perifovea areas. ... The fovea is located near the center ofthe macula. It is a small pit that contains the largest concentration of cone cells.

heya !!!
☆The macula is ovul shaped pigmented area near the center of the retina .
☆Macula has diameter around 5.5 mm ( 0.22 in) where as fovea is 1.5mm ( 0.059 in )
☆The macula is subdivided into umbo , foveola , foveal avascular zone ( FAZ) , fovea , parafovea and perifovea areas
☆Within the macula are the fovea and foveola both contains high density of CONES ( photoreceptors with high acuity )
☆In the fovea centralis or macula lutea or simple yellow spot comes predominate and are present at high density .
pls pls mark it as brainliest....!!!
hope it helps u dear ^_^
