basically the posts of jagirdar and mansabdar varied only in the sense that one was responsible for military management and the other was concerned with the revenue collection .

Mansabdars were high ranking officials in the Mughal empire. They governed the empire and commanded its armies in the name of the emperor.Mansabdars were compensated fortheir services either through salary in case or by being assigned jagirs. ...
