Explanation:

A marginal sea is one which lies between a land mass and an adjacent open ocean. They usually carry the name of a bay or gulf, i.e. Bay of Bengal, Persian Gulf. Sometimes the name of a lesser sea is used, i.e. Red Sea.

An inland sea is a large body of water totally enclosed by land. i.e Caspian Sea, Sea of Azov
