(1)mass is the measure of number of substances present in the body.
weight is the force by which earth attracts a body towards its centre
(2) mass remains constant everywhere in the universe
weight varies from place to place due to the variation of gravity in different places.
(3) mass is measured by beam balance or common balance.
weight is measured by spring balance.
(4) mass is a scalar quantity; whereas weight is a vector quantity.
(5) mass can never be zero; whereas weight can be zero(where there is zero gravity e.g.,in space, satellite, etc.)
