what is the difference between mass and weight of an object. will the mass and weight of an object on earth be same as their values on Mars? why?

mass is the quantity of matter found in object. mass is same at every place bt its not in case of weight as it changes according to gravitational force. weight of obj on earth cannot b same on mars
