what is the difference between mass and weight or an object . will the mass and weight of an the erath be same as their values on mars ?why?

mass and weight are two different things.........
mass is the quantity of matter present in a body......and it doesn't depend on anything........ therefore it will remain constant.... whether you live on earth,go to the mars or moon......

but the weight is a vector quantity defined as product of mass and acceleration due to gravity.........
it varies in different places......
B'cuz value of acceleration due to gravity varies on earth,mars,moon, etc.............
so the value of weight will change...
