Mass is the measure of amount of matter in a body whereas weight is measure of amount of force acting on mass due to acceleration due to gravity.Weight=mass x acceleration due to gravity. Weight of a body can be zero if g=0(for eg-in space) but mass can never be zero. Mass does not change with location but weight of a body changes with location(due to variation in the value of g). Mass is a scalar quantity but weight is a vector quantity.
