Hi!
Suppose, I give you a set of numbers and then ask you to separate the maximum and the minimum value. So, you'll get two numbers. The highest and the lowest one.
Similarly in Excel, We have two functions. The Max( ) and the Min ( ) functions. These will help you to separate the maximum and the lowest value respectively from a given set of numbers.
The difference is the same as the difference between highest and lowest or the lightest and the darkest :)

We can use the MAX function to find the highest number in a specified range. The MIN function accomplishes the exact opposite, returning the lowest value inside a given range.
