Digital thermometer is faster whereas mercury thermometer is slower

Digital thermometer relies on effectiveness of a microchip whereas mercury expands and shows the value in mercury thermometer

Digital thermometer on falling does not break and hence does not leak mercury which makes it safer but mercury thermometer if falls then can b unsafe
