Metals are electro donars while non metals are electron accepters. Metals are electro positive in nature while non metals are electro negative in nature. Metals are good conductor of electricity while non metals are bad conductor of electricity. Metals are mainly in solid state except mercury and gallium while non metals are in gases and solid state except bromine.
