What is the difference between ‘mineral’ and ‘ore’?

Ores:

Ores are the raw form of a metal. Metals are usually mixed with other unimportant substances which are separated my metallurgical measures. Ores always contain chemical impurities.

Minerals:

Minerals on the other hand is the important part of the metal. It does not contain salts of the metal. It is the part of the metal obtained after metallurgical measures.

Minerals always contain all the properties of the metal where as ores doesn’t have any properties of the metal.
