molecular mass means mass of one molecule calculated on the basis of atomic mass of atoms of which it is made.

molar mass means mass of one mole of that molecule which is calculated on the basis of 'u' ie atomic mass unit.

now the molecular mass of it = atomic mass unit of carbon + atomic mass unit of oxygen = 12 + 16 = 28 gram

molar mass = 12 + 16 =28u ie 28 gram

but if there had been 2 molecules then molecular mass would have become 28 × 2 = 56 but molar mass would have remain 28 gram only
