molecules of an element are same whereas molecules of a compound are different. For eg- Oxygen whixh has only oxygen molecules is an element whereas water is a compound consisting of both oxygen and hydrogen molecules which are different in their respective properties

Molecule of a compound consists of a compound in its natural state. Examples :- H2O(water), CO2(carbon dioxide) , SO2 (Sulphur dioxide)
