what is the difference between money bill and ordinary bill?

Explanation:

A bill deemed to be money bill if it contains “only provisions dealing with imposition, abolition, remission, alteration or regulation of any tax”.

An Ordinary Bill can be introduced in any of the Houses of Parliament while money bill can only be introduced in the Lok Sabha....

  • As per Articles 107 and 108 of the Indian Constitution, an ordinary bill is concerned with any matter other than financial subjects. An ordinary bill is introduced in either House of the Parliament. This bill is introduced by Minister or a Private member.
