What is the difference between muscular force and frictional force?

Both muscular and frictional forces are contact forces.

Differences

Frictional force stops or reduces motion while muscular force causes motion.

Frictional force acts opposite to direction of motion while muscular force act in the direction of motion.

Actually, both muscular and frictional force act opposite each other when ,say, a person is pushong a heavy box.
