The Compounds NaCl and NaNO3 are dissolved in water in 2-separate test-tubes. To each test-tubes a few drops of of AgNO3 Solution is added. The test-tube containing NaCl gives a white precipitate, which completely dissolves in NH4OH. The Solution containing NaNO3 will not form a precipitate.
