National political parties are less in number whereas regional political parties are more in number.
National political parties get funded heavily by celebrities whereas regional political parties usually don't have this luxury.
National political parties have more followers than regional political parties.
The Central Goverment is often formed by National political parties, on the other hand Regional political parties can only contribute in it by declaring it's support to a particular party
The main point is....
National political parties represent the interests and problems of people nationwide but Regional political parties represent the interests of only those people who live in their concerned region
(I am a class 9 student, so I'm not sure whether my answer would suit your requirement)

Explanation:
A Political Party is a group of people who come together to contest elections and hold power in the government. They agree on some policies and programmes for the society with a view to promote the collective good. Parties reflect fundamental political divisions in a society. Thus, a party is known by which part it stands for, which policies it supports and whose interests it upholds. A political party has three components:
The leaders
The active members
The followers
