A natural hazard is a threat of a naturally occurring event will have a negative effect on humans. This negative effect is what we call a natural disaster. In other words when the hazardous threat actually happens and harms humans, we call the event a natural disaster

A hazard is something that posesa risk, let's say, the steep hillside next to the village. A natural disaster is the realization of the risk, with the connotation of a large amount of suffering; let's say, a landslide coming down that hillside andengulfing the village. It's more neutral to speak of a 'hazard event' instead of 'natural disaster' as it doesn't bear the same connotation about human suffering.

hope helps you..... thnx
