Answer:

Ammonification or Mineralization is performed by bacteria to convert organic nitrogen to ammonia. Nitrification can then occur to convert the ammonium to nitrite and nitrate. ... N2 can be returned to the atmosphere through denitrification.

Answer:

●Nitrogen Fixation- Atmospheric N2 is converted to NH3 by Nitrogen fixing bacteria like rhizobium.

●Ammonification - Decomposition of organic Nitrogen of dead plants and animals into NH3.

●Nitrification - Oxidisation of NH3 to NO2 and further to NO3^- by nitrifying bacteria like nitrosomonas, nitrococcus, nitrobacter etc.

●Denitrification - Nitrate present in soil, when reduced to N2 is called denitrification carried by pseudomonas and thiobacillus.

hope this will help you.
