Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed as an extrusive igneous rock. It is produced when felsic lava extruded from a volcano.
AND
Conglomerate is a sedimentary rock which forms from rounded gravel.

Obsidian and Conglomerate

Obsidian

  • It is the igneous rock which is formed by quick cooling of lava.

  • It is smooth and glassy and is dark in colour almost like black glass.

Conglomerate

  • It is the sedimentary rock which is formed when pebbles and gravel get cemented together.

  • It has coarse grains and so it is uneven in texture.

  • It is usually found in shades of grey and orange and is polished to make ornaments.
