what is the difference between oestrus cycle and menstrual cycle?

Menstrual cycle occurs in primates. Oestrus cycle occurs in non-primate animals. Menstrual cycle consists of proliferative, secretory and menstrual phase.Oestrus cycle does not possess such phases and is comparatively less complex than menstrual cycle..
