A historical map is a mordern map made to illustrate some past geographical siruation or event. Being old they look different from mordern maps. They often use different symbols and were drawn or printed by different methods than the maps we are accustomed to.

there was arab geographer called Ad-Idrisi he drawn the Indian map but in that map Sri Lanka was in north and India was in south which completely reverse what we have today as reality
