motion of moon around the earth exactly linear motion refers to a motion in a straight path where a circular motion referred to motion in a circular path .in linear motion if a person is running in uniform speed then he will experience zero acceleration as there is no change in the speed or direction of the person

The main difference is that oscillatory motion is always periodic but aperiodic motion may or may not beoscillatory motion. For example, themotion of a pendulum is bothoscillatory motion and periodic motionbut the motion of the wheels of a car is only periodic because the wheels rotate in a circular motion.
