Osmosis :
- When the solvents molecules moves it is called as osmosis.
- Movement happens from "lower concentration region" to "higher concentration region".
- It requires a semi-permeable membrane.
- Happens only in liquid.
Diffusion :
- When the solute molecules moves it is called as diffusion.
- Movement happens from "higher concentration region" to "lower concentration region".
- It doesn't require a semi-permeable membrane.
- Happens in liquid as well as gas.
