Diffusion is the process substances such as CO2 and O2 moves in and out of the cell.
In this process the substance moves from a region of higher concentration to its lower concentration..
Osmosis is the process by which the water molecules move in and out of the cell through a selectively permeable membrane (plasma membrane).

One main difference between osmosis and diffusion, is free movement of solvent and solute particles in diffusion but when we talk in Osmosis only the solvent molecules or water molecules cross the membrane .
