what is the difference between osmotic pressure and osmotic potential??

Osmotic pressure and osmotic potential have
the same value but only the sign is different..
Osmotic pressure is positive whereas osmotic potential is negative value..

Osmotic pressure is the pressure applied by a solution to prevent the inward flow of water across a semi-permeable membrane. Osmotic potential is the potential of water molecules to move from a hypotonic solution to a hypertonic solution across a semi-permeable membrane.
