Hy,
The page margin is the amount of blank white space at each side (left and right, top and bottom; generally left-right match, and top-bottom match, but left-right doesn’t absolutely have to match top-bottom though it often does).
The paragraph indent is the amount of white space left blank to the left of the first character in the paragraph, ONLY at the start of each paragraph.
Today, a lot of e-books are published so that there is no paragraph indent; instead they insert a full line between each paragraph. This is due to potential formatting issues between different reading platforms. Some news articles, especially on the internet, are also published that way. In fact, the answer to this question is formatted that way as well.
