Parliamentary system of Government –

  • It is the form of government in which people of the country elect legislative parliament for the country.
  • In this system, the legislative parliament is the more powerful than the president.
  • In the system of government, the prime minister has the real power where as the President is just the head of state and does not power to make decisions independently.

  • The lower house can even dismiss the government.

Presidential system of government –

  • It is the form of government in which President and the executive are elected by the people of the country.
  • In this system, the president is more powerful than the the three forms of the government (executive, legislative and the judiciary).
  • All the three works separately.
  • The president here takes decisions more independently.
  • This form of government is more stable.
  • The president is responsible for choosing his cabinet.
  • The president here cannot be dismissed by the legislature.
