What is the difference between petrol and diesel

Anonymous: The primary difference between petrol and diesel is that, these two are very distinct fractions of crude oil; whereby, petrol is lighter and volatile, whereas diesel is less volatile, heavier, and has a high lubricity. In addition to, petrol is a hydrocarbon that is made up of 8 carbon atoms, whereas diesel is a hydrocarbon with ten atoms of carbon in a single molecule.

petrol is obtained from deserts(underground) because its made by fossil of land animals
& diesel is obtained from sea beacause its made by fossil of sea animals ......
