what is the difference between planets and satellite

planets moves around the sun but satellite moves around planets...

The word “planet” has a very particular meaning which is (roughly):

An object large enough to become spherical due to it’s own gravity.Which orbits the sun (or some other star).And which has swept up any other objects within it’s orbit.

The word “satellite” means:

Anything that it orbiting something else.

…and we generally divide them into “artificial satellites” and “natural satellites”.

To be useful you really need to say “satellite of such-and-such”. So “Phobos is a natural satellite of Mars”. Or “The ISS is an artificial satellite of Earth”.
