Molars are  last set of teeth(4 in number)

Premolars are second last set of teeth(8 in number)

premolars are monophyodont whereas 1st and 2nd molars are diphyodont and 3rd molars (rarely appears also known as wisdom teeth which is vestigial in human) is monophyodont
