What is the difference between Primary Pollutants and Secondary Pollutants ?

primary pollutants means it is temparary and can be solved and secondary pollutants means it is permanent and cannot be solved it can only be reduced

primary pollutants- are air pollutants discharged directly from a source.

secondary pollutants- is not directly discharged such as,but forms when other pollutants (primary pollutants) react in the atmosphere...

if u need examples:

These are but a few examples. Secondary... Primary pollutants enter the atmosphere directly from a process like combustion of fuel in an engine releasing carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide out of the exhaust. Another example is sulfur dioxide released in a power plant or factory from combustion of fossil fuel.
