What is the difference between pure strain and hybrid strain?? I need a clear answer and need no links. I need an answer which is sure to get marks in ICSE Board Examination.

When there is a mild difference in the types of same bacteria, plant or virus they are known as Strain.

The difference between pure strain and hybrid stain is that whereas a pure strain contains only one type of genetics within it, hybrid strain contains more than one type of genes within it.
