Reserve bank of India controls all the banks (both Nationalised & Scheduled). Involves with the finance ministry in determining interest rates etc. ,Currency printing, foreign exchange monitoring and other various financial matters of Govt.Of India. In many other countries it is called Central Bank .The central Bank of India was established before Nationalisation of the Banks and it directly transact with public & industrial ,commercial dealings.
