reading: reading is a passive activity .you take in some of the information,but you r not concerned about what u leave on the table.you're generally doing it for enjoyment,or perhaps business,but you r not necessarily doing it with an end goal such as a test,certification,etc.in mind.
learning:learning is more active,and generally implies some end goal in mind-whether it's mastering a language,a particular quantity of facts,or general information.
