What is the difference between Real image and virtual image ?

Real image:A real image is one which can be produced on a screen and is formed by light rays that actually pass through it

Virtual image:A virtual image cannot be formed on a screen and is produced by light rays which seem to come from it , but no rays actually pass through it.

virtual image formed always upward to principal axis.
Real image always formed downward of principal axis.
