What is the difference between rearing and shearing?

SHEARING
The fleece of sheep along with thin layer of skin is removed from its body. This is called shearing.

REARING
The sheared skin with hair is thoroughly washed in tanks to remove grease,dust and dirt.

shearing is the process of removal of wool whereas rearing means keeping animal and take care of them
