Stimulus is external action which acts upon something.

Singular: Stimulus. Plural: Stimuli

Reflex action is the sudden or involuntary action responding to a stimulus.

Example: When we touch heated pan, suddenly we take our hand back. Here heat is stimulus and taking our hand back is reflex action.
