rotation is the movement of earth on it's axis-(axis is the imaginary line passing through the middle of earth). The earth takes 24 hrs to complete one full rotation
revolution is the movement of earth around the sun in a fixed path called as the orbit. The earth takes 365 days to complete one full revolution around the sun.
